What started as a love for the ocean and mermaiding slowly became a space where mermaids could finally find swimmable, high-quality creations that feel magical both underwater and beyond it.

At Salvus Mermaid, we believe mermaiding is more than fantasy. It’s art, self-expression, confidence, freedom, and reconnecting with the version of yourself that feels most alive beneath the surface.

Our Story

Hi, I'm Mermaid Cherry, founder of Salvus Mermaid.

As a child, I loved drawing, sewing, and building tiny worlds for my dolls. Creating always felt natural to me. But as a teenager, I became insecure about my art and convinced myself I wasn't talented enough, so I stopped creating altogether.

Instead, I chose a more practical path and studied Industrial Engineering because I was told there was no real future in art.

Years later, mermaiding brought creativity back into my life.

What started as self-expression underwater slowly became designing again — first by building Salvus Mermaid to make beautiful mermaid tails more accessible to mermaids in the Philippines, then by sharing designs from artists, and eventually creating my own original mermaid tail creations inspired by fantasy, emotion, and the ocean.

Today, every tail I design is more than just a product.
It's wearable art, a fulfillment of a childhood dream, and a way for merfolk to see themselves represented in the mermaid they dream of becoming.
